I guess I am a special case, I am a diabetic and out of all the foods that I eat there is a chinese food place about 12 miles away by the american side of the canadian border that makes chow mein which is supposed to mean hard noodles that lowers my blood sugar level becuase of the pasta soft noodles. The hard noodles are added when the food is ready to eat and not mixed in ahead of time. There is a big market since from the latest estimates there are 41 million diabetics in the U.S. alone and no one is taking advantage of all the people who could benifit from some chinese foods. I can honestly tell you that the one place that I get chow mein from can drop my blood sugar level a 100 points and is one of only two dish's that I could eat only the veggies and no meat, the other is pot roast with potatoes and carrots. I am not for sure nut it looks like the chinese food dish that I like may have celery, cabbage or letuce. amd maybe onions and and or sprouts, but it may vary, and for the life of me I can not figure out what is used for the base of the sauce that makes it so paletable.
